THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CAMDEN SQUARE (E Webber) and LEFTY (X Ndlovu) were stubborn loading.
b) DANCING AMBER (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading and slow into stride.
c) BLAZING FLAME (C Zackey) and KITANA'S JOY (MK Katjedi) were nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
d) ON THE OUTSIDE (S Khathi) was restless in the stalls, taken out and reloaded.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.
b) DANCING AMBER (*N Nastili) proved difficult proceeding to the start and was led riderless, by a Handler, from the 1100m, causing a further delay. Trainer DG Smith was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, it may be suspended.
c) FATEFUL LOVE (R Fourie) raced green and shifted out at the 400m.
d) KITANA'S JOY (MK Katjedi) was hanging in from the 350m.
e) DANCING AMBER (*N Nastili) was hanging in from the 200m.
f) QUEEN'S AWAY (C Little) raced green.
g) In view of the performance of BLAZING FLAME (C Zackey) (Betting 6/1; Distance 13.85 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ON THE OUTSIDE (S Khathi), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to stand in the stalls with a companion. (Suspension dates: 07/03/2026 to 13/03/2026, both dates inclusive). ON THE OUTSIDE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
i) FATEFUL LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)

e) WILD STAR - scalp wound left hind.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
