THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHICKASAW (M Yeni) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) At approximately the 1700m CHICKASAW (M Yeni) which rolled out marginally, was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of SESAME (C Little) which was encouraged forward and rolled in marginally. Thereafter, in the concluding stages SWEETER THAN HONEY (M Michel) was carried in by SESAME (C Little) which rolled in and shifted in away from the crop. b) Jockey C Little appeared before the Board with regard to both these incidents and was instructed to take the necessary measures sooner to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in races in future. c) CALL ME HARRIET (*M Mbuto) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. d) MS GALORE (K de Melo) hung in from the 350m. e) Jockey K de Melo reported that MS GALORE did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of CHICKASAW (M Yeni) (14.35 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer F Bronkhorst will be asked to report back on the condition of CHICKASAW on return to stables. g) Apprentice D Ramkhalawon (MARY READ) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. h) SESAME (C Little), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PINK DIAMOND raced without blinkers and without a tongue tie (advised 03.03.2026/14h13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
