THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOHANDAS (*D Pillay) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) MOHANDAS (*D Pillay) hung out from the 400m. b) At the 250m DEANDRE'S DREAM (S Khumalo) and in turn ZIYAN'S PRIDE (N Patel) were carried in by CHASING GOLD (C F Dicken) which commenced to hang in and rolled in. c) In view of the performances of CLAYMORE (R A Venniker) (13.90 lengths, 50/1 in the betting) and BANZAI PIPELINE (5.70 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Trainer S S Ngcobo was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate ANGEL OF MY HEART against African Horse Sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer S S Ngcobo signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. e) TAKEYOURBESTSHOT (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
