The start of this Race was delayed due to the Starter's report as stated below. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VIKING LEADER (R Venniker) was stubborn to load. b) BRIGHT BLUE (S Moodley) lost 3 lengths. c) ANATOLY (S Hlengwa), NAMIR (*M Mbuto), KAZENOYONI (C Zackey) and ROYAL SCEPTRE (*B Marx-Jacobson) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to VIKING LEADER (R Venniker), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 12.03.2026 to the 18.03.2026. VIKING LEADER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M L Roberts will be advised. c) BRIGHT BLUE (S Moodley), KAZENOYONI (C Zackey) and BETTER NEVER ENDS (C Dicken) raced green. d) In view of ANATOLY (S Hlengwa) which commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice M Mbuto reported that NAMIR did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice D Pillay reported that KIKI U BEAUTY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) KAZENOYONI (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Howells was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice M Mbuto (claiming 1.5kg) was the rider of NAMIR (advised 10.03.2026/8h39). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) BRIGHT BLUE raced with Operator's colours. Trainer G B Puller signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owners' colours were available for this colt. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was issued. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) ANATOLY : Abnormal respiratory noise, not striding out right hind and speedy cut left hind. b) NAMIR : Lame right hind.
