THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COURT ACTION (+B Mayiya) was slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) This Race was run in light rain. c) Work Rider N Jobose, the rider of GIMMESUMLUV, accidentally dropped his crop at the 600m. d) At approximately the 300m, HURRICANE POWER (+C Mabaya) had to check and switch out to avoid the heels of HAT AND HEELS (+P Mongqawa), which shifted in away from the crop. Work Rider P Mongqawa was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of HAT AND HEELS, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to HURRICANE POWER (+C Mabaya) when he shifted in at approximately the 300m. Work Rider P Mongqawa signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 24 March 2026. e) From 150m to the finish, Work Rider C Mabaya (HURRICANE POWER) got his crop entangled in his right-side rein. f) Work Rider V Sithetho (LOLLY WILLOWES) and Work Rider P Mongqawa (HAT AND HEELS) appeared before the Board and were advised that although the use of their crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules will take effect on the 1st of April 2026. g) HAT AND HEELS (+P Mongqawa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) COURT ACTION raced without a tongue tie (declared 11 March 2026 at 08H05). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS.
