THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZOOMBOMBER (S Khumalo) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) GOLDEN ASPEN (M van Rensburg) and PRINCESS LOLA (R Munger) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) In view of the performance of SERGEANT SOQRAT (K Matsunyane), (distance 9,70 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of CAN'T CATCH ME (M Yeni), (distance 12,60 lengths, betting 8/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that ZOOMBOMBER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SUNSET WARRIOR (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
