THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALMOND SEA (C Habib) and THE LAST DUKE (P Mxoli) were stubborn loading. b) SUNSET RIOT (M Michel) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) JUST BE LEKKER (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 1200m, MIAMI MOUNTAIN (J R Syster), which commenced to over-race, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of JUST BE LEKKER (S Moodley). c) Shortly before the finish line MIAMI MOUNTAIN (J R Syster) was steadied when tightened for galloping room between THE LAST DUKE (P Mxoli) and POTBERRIE (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop and was corrected. d) SUNSET RIOT (M Michel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) MUSICAL SCORE: Jockey K de Melo weighed out at 56,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. Race 9 contd.
