THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the 200m SUMMER WINTER (R Fourie) and MYSTIC DANCER (C Zackey) came together and bumped when racing in restricted room between WINGS OF JOSEPHINE (*S Bungane) which shifted out slightly away from the crop and TAKE YOUR PLACE (J Gates) which hung in from the 250m. This resulted in SUMMER WINTER (R Fourie) being unbalanced and losing momentum. c) In view of the performance of CAPTAIN VENTURA (M Michel) (5.80 lengths, 7/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) VISION TO ACHIEVE (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P M Gadsby was advised (MM).
