a) The tongue tie on EXQUISITE (R Fourie) was re-fitted at the start. b) BLUE PALACE (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length. c) MOUNTAIN HIGH (MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing one length. d) YOU'RE SO SPECIAL (M Yeni) and CHERRY OH BABY (*I Taka) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h03) b) GREAT NOTION (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) MOUNTAIN HIGH (MK Katjedi) was carried inwards by VOLARE E MAMBO (*B Soodoo), which was steadied and switched inwards at approximately the 700m. Apprentice B Soodoo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of VOLARE E MAMBO, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MOUNTAIN HIGH at the 700m. Apprentice B Soodoo signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that EXQUISITE choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Apprentice I Taka (CHERRY OH BABY) and Jockey K Minnie (BLUE PALACE) reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainers AC Greeff (CHERRY OH BABY) and SB Kotzen (BLUE PALACE) were advised to report back should they find anything amiss with their respective horses on their return to the stables. f) Jockey R Munger was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on BLUE PALACE, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey R Munger signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. g) LA LANDONNE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
