a) LADY ORBIT (G Wright) was stubborn loading and had to be hooded. b) KITUBA (S Veale) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h59) b) Shortly after the start, FATE OF PACE (G Behr) was steadied and taken in behind runners when bumped outwards by LADY ORBIT (G Wright). c) VIXENS WAR (C Little) over raced in the early stages, was hanging out from the 400m and proved difficult to assist in the latter stages. d) In view of the performance of KITUBA (S Veale), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding LADY ORBIT (G Wright), Trainer M Rix will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) Trainer M Rix was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.1.1 in that she declared Jockey C Orffer to ride LADY ORBIT without having obtained his prior consent. Assistant Trainer F Fredericks, acting on behalf of Trainer M Rix, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer M Rix was fined R1000,00. g) LADY ORBIT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer R Fredericks, acting on behalf of Trainer M Rix, was advised. (SC) h) GIDDY UP GRACE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
