THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KAVADY (K Matsunyane) reared in the stalls. b) QUEEN LEILA (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) OCEAN MISTRESS (K de Melo) was slow, losing one length. d) DRACHENFUTTER (C Maujean) stumbled shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) RUBY WHISPER (C Habib) was directed inwards at the 150m to continue its run. c) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with KAVADY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer M Pandaram was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of KAVADY on return to stables. d) OCEAN MISTRESS (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
