THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TASTE THE RAINBOW (S Veale) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) BEYOND ALL DOUBT (C Little) lost 1 length. c) IMPERIAL VALOR (C F Dicken) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start OWNER OF CREATION (C Habib) was bumped by BEYOND ALL DOUBT (C Little) which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) Leaving the starting stalls PRESSURE POINT (R A Venniker) and TASTE THE RAINBOW (S Veale) came together and bumped. d) GREEN COMMANDER (K de Melo) and TURBO TIGER (K Matsunyane) over raced in the early stages. e) At the 1200m BEYOND ALL DOUBT (C Little) was buffeted between GREEN COMMANDER (K de Melo) and TASTE THE RAINBOW (S Veale). f) At the 1000m TASTE THE RAINBOW (S Veale), which over raced, ran onto and clipped the heels of HAMMERHEAD (M Yeni). g) Jockey S Hlengwa's (WILLIAM OF ORANGE) colour cap became detached at the 300m. h) In the concluding stages WILLIAM OF ORANGE (S Hlengwa) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of IMPERIAL VALOR (C F Dicken) which shifted out away from the crop. i) In view of the performance of TURBO TIGER (K Matsunyane) which commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. j) BEYOND ALL DOUBT (C Little), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
