THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h40) b) Jockey G Wright was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of LOUI'S STAR he misused his crop by striking LOUI'S STAR more than 12 times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt and was fined R4000,00. c) Trainer D McLachlan was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented TOTHEMOONANDBACK incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer D McLachlan signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.00. d) DOUBLE DASH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D McLachlan was advised.
