THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GALACTIC BEAUTY (*J Botes) was stubborn loading. b) BOSSY LADY (E Webber) jumped slow, losing two to three lengths. c) GOOD COMPANY (*B Soodoo) and GUTSY BABY (*W Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length. d) MME HUNTRESS (X Ndlovu) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h32) b) Permission was granted for LAUDIUM (Y Ramzan) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races. d) Shortly after the start LAUDIUM (Y Ramzan) was bumped outwards by MME HUNTRESS (X Ndlovu), which jumped outwards. e) TIMELINE (C Maujean) was hanging out on the turn. f) At the 250m LYRICS AND SONGS (*I Taka) was bumped outwards by MME HUNTRESS (X Ndlovu), which was hanging out from the 300m. g) Jockeys G Wright (BLUE DAME) and C Maujean (TIMELINE) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. h) The saddle on GUTSY BABY (*W Fourie) slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the patrol film. i) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BOSSY LADY (E Webber), Trainer E Kaknis was advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. j) ELUSIVE BOMBA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM) k) JAZZ AWAY, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
