THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CRAFT MARKET (GB) lost 2 lengths. b) IRISH ANTHEM (*D Ramkhalawon) and LIGHT THE FIRE (C F Dicken) fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) CATRIEN (N Patel) and WINTER MIRACLE (M Yeni) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) IRISH ANTHEM (*D Ramkhalawon) raced wide around the latter part of the turn and into the straight. d) In the concluding stages, CATRIEN (N Patel) was brushed in by WONDERFUL TONIGHT (C Little) which hung in from the 350m and rolled in. e) In view of the performances of WINTER MIRACLE (M Yeni) (20.55 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) and SAIL THE HORIZON (K de Melo) (10.45 lengths, 18/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice D Ramkhalawon (IRISH ANTHEM) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. g) Apprentice A Mosaheb was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2., (Appendix E; Guideline C) in that as the rider of CRAFT MARKET (GB) he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than three times on consecutive strides, which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Apprentice A Mosaheb signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. h) IRISH ANTHEM (*D Ramkhalawon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P M Gadsby was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice D Ramkhalawon (claiming 3kg) was the rider of IRISH ANTHEM (advised 25.03.2026/11h42).
