THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) CAPTAIN'S PRIDE (*B Marx-Jacobson) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the starting stalls. Thereafter, this filly proceeded to over race in the early stages. c) HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE (C Habib) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) In view of the performance of HEAVENLY MAFIA (C F Dicken) (7.30 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was charged with a contravention of Rule contravened Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse HEAVENLY MAFIA. Assistant Trainer J Buckler signed an Admission of Guilt and was issued with a warning. f) BUTTERCUP BABY (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
