THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHEETS AND GOGGLES (*I Taka) was slow, losing one length. b) FAR REACHING (*B Soodoo) was squeezed out shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 1100m, SHEETS AND GOGGLES (*I Taka) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and KENSAL GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson), which rolled in. c) FAR REACHING (*B Soodoo) hung out around the turn and as a consequence raced wide into straight. d) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson, the rider of KENSAL GREEN, accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. e) Apprentice G Dookhit reported that WAY TO BURN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) KENSAL GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) EIGHT HATS: Apprentice D Pillay weighed out at 52,3kg, not claiming his 2,5 kg apprentice allowance as declared.
