PLAY SOCCER 6, 10 AND 13 MAIDEN PLATE (For all Maidens)

THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and jumped inwards. b) WARRIOR'S SWORD (*W Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. c) INDESTRUCTABLE (G Wright) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. d) NORSE WARRIOR (*EJ Muller) stumbled leaving the stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h02) b) Apprentice W Fourie (WARRIOR'S SWORD) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. c) Shortly after the start, INDESTRUCTABLE (G Wright) was bumped inwards slightly when GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly inwards. d) AETHELWULF (M Yeni) over raced in the early and middle stages. e) WARRIOR'S SWORD (*W Fourie) was directed outwards to obtain clear running on two occasions between the 500m and the 300m. f) KHICHDI (S Naidoo) was hanging in from the 400m. g) INDESTRUCTABLE (G Wright) was directed outwards to obtain a clear run at the 400m and thereafter, shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. h) The saddle on GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. i) In view of the performance of LADY MAJESTIC (W Agrella), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer TJ Laing was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. j) Jockey E Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of GLOBAL CHIEF he misused his crop by striking GLOBAL CHIEF more than 10 times (12) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey E Webber signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1800,00. k) BRIGHT ERUPTION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised. (declared 08h27 on 20260402) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) LADY MAJESTIC - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. b) AMANZIMTEXAS - overreach right front. c) WARRIOR'S SWORD - mouth injury. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
