THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) DIRECTOR (S Veale) did not parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) will be advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. c) RUNTHRUTHEJUNGLE (J Jacobs) and OWNER OF CREATION (K de Melo) over raced in the early stages. d) Approaching the 200m OWNER OF CREATION (K de Melo) was carried out by NAVAL OFFICER (N Patel) which was directed out off of the heels of GREEK HEIRESS (C Little), which rolled out and was immediately corrected. e) Jockey K de Melo (OWNER OF CREATION) accidently dropped his crop at the 150m. f) In view of the performance of GOD'S COUNTRY (J Gates) (17.25 lengths and 66/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with GREEK HEIRESS in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) TAYLOR'S VERSION (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
