THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) OLAF THE STOUT (R Fourie) was stubborn loading.
b) FYFIELD LEGEND (C Habib) rushed the front gates, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.
c) WEEKEND IN ASPEN (Y Ramzan) kicked in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a further delay.
d) DIGITAL WARFARE (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly outwards.
e) MAESTRO AZUL (C Little) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h23)
b) DIGITAL WARFARE (C Maujean), which jumped awkwardly outwards, made slight contact with FYFIELD LEGEND (C Habib) shortly after the start.
c) SILVA STREAKER (*B Marx-Jacobson), which raced green, took a number of awkward strides in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
Trainer WGC Miller was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this colt on his return to the stables.
d) Jockey C Habib reported that FYFIELD LEGEND changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
e) OLAF THE STOUT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
