THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SABOTEUR (*G Dookhit) was unruly behind the stalls, stubborn loading and thereafter, jumped slow, losing one length. b) MALIBU ICE (R Fourie) was stubborn loading. c) ROCK ME MAMA (C Habib) jumped inwards, made contact with the right-side front gate of the starting stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. d) QUICK SKETCH (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length. e) CAMDEN SQUARE (E Webber) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h54) b) QUICK SKETCH (K Minnie) and TP THUNDERCHILD (Y Ramzan) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) CAMDEN SQUARE (E Webber) was hanging in from the 250m. d) Apprentice G Dookhit (SABOTEUR) did not fit his goggles prior to leaving the starting stalls. As a consequence, he was unable to fully assist his mount in running. Apprentice G Dookhit was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.2 in that as the rider of SABOTEUR, he failed to ride his mount in a competent and professional manner. Apprentice G Dookhit signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. Apprentice G Dookhit was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.13 in that as the rider of SABOTEUR, he did not wear eye protection. Apprentice G Dookhit signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 500.00. e) Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 56.4.1.3 in that he failed to proceed to the parade ring immediately after being instructed to do so by the Clerk of Scales. Jockey S Khathi signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500.00. When considering penalty, the Stewards took into account that when Jockey S Khathi arrived in the parade ring, the horses were leaving the parade ring to proceed to the start. f) MALIBU ICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) ON THE OUTSIDE raced without pacifiers and without ear muffs and with a compression mask.
