THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AS WELL AS THE LATE SCRATCHING OF MAJESTIC WARRIOR (K DERERE). THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAJESTIC WARRIOR (K Derere) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer D Swanson was advised (RLM). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, starting stall gates 2 (CAPTIVE MOON) and 4 (IDEAL VIEW) opened for no apparent reason, resulting in horses IDEAL VIEW (J R Syster) and CAPTIVE MOON (C Ngcobo) exiting the stalls. Both horses were promptly restrained by their respective riders, returned to the start, and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Following the examinations, both were declared fit to race and subsequently reloaded. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAJESTIC WARRIOR, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 18 April 2026 to 24 April 2026. MAJESTIC WARRIOR may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Swanson was advised. c) SEPTEMBER FLOWER (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Mallett, acting on behalf of Trainer A Parham, was advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) QUEEN OF LOVE raced without a tongue tie (declared 16 April 2026 at 17H19). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. Race 5 contd.
