THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FINE WINE (*D Pillay) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the 300m ZENA ROSE (K de Melo) was directed to the inside of SANBEENEE (*A Mosaheb) to continue its run. c) At approximately the 250m CASSANDRA (*D D Louw) shifted in sharply for no apparent reason. Apprentice D D Louw appeared before the Board and explained that this was the filly's first time under the lights at Hollywoodbets Greyville, and that in his opinion she had shifted in abruptly away from the shadows cast by the outside running rails in front of the grandstand. Apprentice D D Louw's explanation was noted. d) Jockey C Little reported that SESAME coughed in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performances of PSYCHE (M Michel) (5.30 lengths, 11/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) FINE WINE (*D D Louw), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
