THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHARLIE BUCKET (JP van der Merwe) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. b) MONTICELLO (*V Jodhee) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h19) b) Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. c) CHARLIE BUCKET (JP van der Merwe) and ROYAL INFLUENCER (A Fortune) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) OH SO ONEDERFUL (*B Plaatjies) was continually held up for a clear run in the straight until the 100m. e) Jockey C Orffer reported that LOVE FROM AFAR took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) In view of the performance of MERCENARY (A Domeyer), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CHARLIE BUCKET (JP van der Merwe), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion on a race day.
