THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OCEAN FLAME (W Agrella) and COLORAMA (MK Katjedi) were nervous in the stalls. b) BLUE PALACE (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length. c) ROYAL MERMAID (C Zackey) kicked the back gates in the stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h51) b) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to BLUE PALACE (C Maujean) in stall gate 4 and established that any loss of ground was as a result of this filly's own behaviour and therefore, took no further action. c) ENDEARED (*B Soodo) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) Jockey R Fourie's (ROCKIE BLUE) crop briefly became entangled in his reins at the 300m. e) Trainer Z Oosthuizen was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate ELUSIVE BOMBA against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer Oosthuizen signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00. f) ONCIDIUM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
