THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (K Strydom) was stubborn loading. b) KING VISERYS (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing one length. c) BAHAMIAN BEAT (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h04) b) Permission was granted for EL CAPITAN (M van Rensburg) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) EL CAPITAN (M van Rensburg) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of XPLICIT CONTENT (MK Katjedi), which shifted outwards at approximately the 350m. Jockey MK Katjedi appeared before the Board and was advised to ensure he is clear of other runners before shifting ground in future engagements. d) Jockey MK Katjedi reported that XPLICIT CONTENT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) TEEREX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
