a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h52) b) IT IS MY TIME (G Behr) took an awkward stride when its heels were clipped by BOOGIEFIED (AUS) (C Zackey) at the 1200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine IT IS MY TIME (G Behr). c) Leaving the 200m, PAY THE PALACE (R Fourie) had to be steadied, made contact with the hindquarters of IT IS MY TIME (G Behr) and then had to be directed outwards when carried inwards by MAJOR MASTER (A Domeyer), which shifted in without sufficient correction. As a consequence, IT IS MY TIME (G Behr) shifted in away from PAY THE PALACE (R Fourie) and carried BOOGIEFIED (AUS) (C Zackey) inwards, which resulted in KATSU (JP van der Merwe) having to be steadied briefly. Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of MAJOR MASTER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PAY THE PALACE leaving the 200m. Jockey A Domeyer signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates to be advised.) d) MAJOR MASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil.
