THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Approaching the 150m, EDUCATOR was bumped in by PERILLA which was carried in by TOMYRIS which shifted in away from the crop. This resulted in EDUCATOR having to be checked off the heels of ICE RAIN which hung in from the 400m. Jockey N Patel was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of TOMYRIS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PERILLA and EDUCATOR at approximately the 100m. Jockey N Patel signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for a period of 7 days. (Suspension Dates to be advised). c) PERILLA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) PERILLA : Coughing. b) CONVOCATION : Lame right front. Suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.1, pending a Veterinary Certificate. SCRATCHINGS : a) AMELIA'S LEGACY : Stipes' Permission (Advised 28.04.2026/11h13).
