SABALENKA WAS SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. TIME WAS ALLOTTED FOR THE BETTING PUBLIC TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR BETS. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STORM AVALANCHE was restless in the stalls. b) LADY ENID stood, losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer S M Naidoo was advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) PISTA RESISTANCE raced green. Thereafter, Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that he felt something was amiss with PISTA RESISTANCE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to LADY ENID, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday. Suspension dates: 1 May 2026 to 7 May 2026. LADY ENID may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S M Naidoo was advised. d) ROYAL TIARA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
