THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KIA KAHA was restless in the stalls. b) VALIEVA was slow, losing five lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) WINGS OF KILDRA was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to 50m. c) MRS STORMIATRIX tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of BLINDFIRE, (distance 6,20 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of WAITING ON CHARLIE, (distance 7,90 lengths, betting 5/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the Starter's report with regard to VALIEVA, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 1 May 2026 to 7 May 2026. VALIEVA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised. g) ANGEL'S OASIS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainers M/M de Kock, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LILAC SNOW: Jockey R A Venniker weighed out at 52,3kg, not claiming her allowance as declared. b) TIME FOR CHARITY: Jockey C Maujean weighed out at 52,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
