THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIVO MONDO was nervous in the stalls, rushed the front gates and jumped awkwardly. b) MIGHTY MAC was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. c) DESERT CLOUD jumped awkwardly. d) NIGHTJAR and MISTER WHISTLE were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h11) b) Permission was granted for MIGHTY MAC (M Yeni) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) KING'S SAILOR shifted inwards away from the crop at the 200m. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that RHYDIAN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) KLEINZEE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM) THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RHYDIAN - examined post-race. Not striding out right front. b) KING'S SAILOR - coughing. c) DIVO MONDO - coughing. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
