THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RINGHO jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) AUTOGRAPH was slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) SECOND TO NUNN shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. c) In view of the performance of BUFFALO KING CODY, (distance 9,10 lengths, betting 3/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Work Rider S Mosia reported that HAMMER BLOW made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Work Rider T Lukhele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of SECOND TO NUNN, misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (11). Work Rider T Lukhele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 14 May 2026. f) Work Rider S Dwayana was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of RINGHO, misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (16). Work Rider S Dwayana signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in four (4) Work Rider races. Suspension dates: 14 May 2026, 26 May 2026, 18 June 2026 and 27 June 2026. g) GUNBOAT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (MduP). WORK RIDER CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BUFFALO KING CODY not striding out left hind. b) HAMMER BLOW abnormal respiratory noise. c) AUTOGRAPH choked up.
