The start of this Race was delayed due to the late scratching of JETAVANA. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JETAVANA refused to load and was withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Approaching the 1100m, MY LUCKY CHARM was tightened and eased when awkwardly placed between the heels of TOWN CRIER and WORLD OF OUR OWN which rolled in and was corrected. Thereafter, MY LUCKY CHARM was steadied in away from the heels of WORLD OF OUR OWN which rolled in. Apprentice D Ramkhalawon was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of WORLD OF OUR OWN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MY LUCKY CHARM at approximately the 1100m. Apprentice D Ramkhalawon signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for a period of 7 days. (Suspension Dates to be advised) c) Approaching the 200m, SIERRA SAGRADA which was carried out by PIED PIPER which rolled out from the 300m, was brushed on 2 occasions by NEXT OF KIN which hung in from the 350m. d) In view of the performance of WORLD OF OUR OWN (6.90 lengths, 9/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) TOWN CRIER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S H Ferrie was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) TOWN CRIER : Coughing. b) BASIE RAAKVAT : Coughing. c) SIERRA SAGRADA : Returned post-race having cast the left hind shoe. d) WORLD OF OUR OWN : Nothing obvious detected.
