LIVELY was stubborn loading. Trainer Greeff was requested to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. LADY LIVIA was stubborn loading. ELUSIVE JADE jumped awkwardly, threw its head down, was slow away and lost 1 length. DAY TRIP was stubborn loading and slow into stride. In view of the performance of ELUSIVE DIVA, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Jockey Minnie reported that EFFORT did not stride out freely in the running and did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. Apprentice Jacobs reported that the saddle slipped back on NEVERLETUGO in the running and as a consequence of this he was unable to fully assist this mare to the end of the race. Jockey Ndlovu signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline C on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse STEP LIVELY more than three times on consecutive strides. A penalty was imposed. Jockey Ndlovu signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse STEP LIVELY more than 12 times in the entire race.
