A SIGNIFICANT DELAY OCCURRED DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH THE CAMERAS, A FALSE START BEING DECLARED, AND THE LATE SCRATCHING OF MAJESTIC WARRIOR.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) MAJESTIC WARRIOR refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer D Swanson was advised (WH).
b) As the start was effected, SEPTEMBER FLOWER pre-empted the start and broke through the front gates.
The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Stable Employee M Mallet, acting on behalf of Trainer A Parham, was advised (WH).
Thereafter, during the loading process, SOLARTRIP broke through the front gates, dislodging the Rider and bolted. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer B H Stidolph was advised (WH).
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) As the start was effected, SEPTEMBER FLOWER pre-empted the start and broke through the front gates, resulting in a false start being declared. All runners were restrained by their respective riders, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded.
Thereafter, during the loading process, SOLARTRIP broke through the front gates, dislodging Jockey J Penny, and was subsequently scratched after bolting.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAJESTIC WARRIOR, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday.
Suspension dates: 10 May 2026 to 16 May 2026. MAJESTIC WARRIOR may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Swanson was advised.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SEPTEMBER FLOWER, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday.
