THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREENHOUSE jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. b) BELLA VALENTINA lost 1 length. c) CAPTAIN'S PRIDE lost 2 lengths. d) HAPPY FORTUNE lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) SIGN OF FATE over raced in the early and middle stages. c) Leaving the 1200m, CAPTAIN'S PRIDE, which commenced to over race in the early stages, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED which rolled in and was immediately corrected. d) At the 800m, PAST IS PROLOGUE was steadied outwards away from the heels of MRSGLITTERSPARKLES which awkwardly jumped a shadow cast by the camera tower located at the 800m. Thereafter, Jockey C Habib reported that MRSGLITTERSPARKLES took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Murray reported that HAPPY FORTUNE did not stride out freely in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey R Fourie reported that GORGEOUS GIRL took an awkward stride at the 1000m. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the performances of BELLA VALENTINA (11.35 lengths, 40/1 in the betting) and ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED (8.05 lengths, 18/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) LA LANDONNE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
