THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HAH LAH LAH was restless in the stalls. This gelding was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At the 1100m HAH LAH LAH, which over raced in the early and middle stages, was allowed to improve and raced around the field. Thereafter, at the 800m, WHAT A FORTUNE, JP'S PALACE and GOLDEN DESTINY were tightened when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and HAH LAH LAH, which rolled in. c) In view of the performances of GOLDEN DESTINY (4.55 lengths, 16/1 in the betting) and WILD AT WAR (5.45 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) HAH LAH LAH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (SS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey M Michel was the rider of SAFE TRAVEL (Stewards' permission). b) Jockey M Yeni was the rider of AMOR FATI (Stewards' permission). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) GOLDEN DESTINY : Not striding out left hind. b) WILD AT WAR : Nothing obvious detected. c) DIANI : Coughing. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS : DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
