THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOP DOLLAR was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. b) DEE DEE'S DELIGHT was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. c) AM STILL WINNING jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h22) b) Permission was granted for SIXTYZERO to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Riders and their mounts were affected by the strong north westerly cross wind during the running of this race. d) Leaving the 300m AMANZIMTEXAS was carried outwards by GREEN POINT, which shifted out. Thereafter, AMANZIMTEXAS had to steady and was directed inwards to obtain clear running at approximately the 200m. e) Jockeys R Fourie (GALACTIC BEAUTY) and C Maujean (AM STILL WINNING) did not persevere with their riding from the 200m. The Veterinary surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. f) TOP DOLLAR returned with a unilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers) g) THE SCARLET CAT returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
