THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FIVE STAR MAGIC and NIGHT IN JAPAN were re-saddled at the start, causing a delay.
b) FIVE STAR MAGIC refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a further delay.
c) PALME D'OR jumped inwards.
d) WITHOUT HESITATION jumped outwards.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h55)
b) Permission was granted for WORLD SOPRANO and ALLEYAH'S ROCKET to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c) WORLD SOPRANO cast its right hind shoe prior to leaving the parade ring, which the Farrier was unable to replace. In consultation with Trainer DG Smith, the left hind shoe was removed and WORLD SOPRANO raced unshod behind. This led to a delay to the start of this race.
d) Shortly after the start PALME D'OR, which jumped inwards, made contact with WITHOUT HESITATION, which jumped outwards.
e) FYFIELD LEGEND and WORLD SOPRANO made contact on a number of occasions leaving the 100m.
A Stipendiary Steward called for a race review which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Rider of the 2nd-placed FYFIELD LEGEND against the 1st-placed WORLD SOPRANO on the grounds of interference and bumping in the latter stages.
The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward, reviewing the patrol films and giving consideration to the margin of 0.05 of a length between the two horses concerned, was satisfied that FYFIELD LEGEND would not have finished ahead of WORLD SOPRANO had this incident not occurred and therefore overruled the Objection. Jockey M Yeni's deposit was refunded.
f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding FIVE STAR MAGIC, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 12/05/2026 to 18/05/2026, both dates inclusive). FIVE STAR MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g) WORLD SOPRANO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised. (LM)
h) FYFIELD LEGEND, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)

b) C Little (PRETTY BOY) rode +1.5kg of which 1kg was carded. (57.8kgs)
c) C Maujean (TIMELINE) rode +1kg of which 0.5kg was carded. (53.2kgs)
d) *N Nastili (NIGHT IN JAPAN) weighed out at 51.2kgs and only claimed 1kg of his 1.5kg allowance.
