THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PYROMANIAC jumped slow, losing four lengths. b) ALADO'S PRIDE stood awkwardly in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h23) b) Permission was granted for SUPREME JUDGE to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) GLOBAL SPEAK shifted out from the 150m due to the strong cross winds. d) SUPREME JUDGE was hanging out and shifted out from the 150m. e) Apprentice I Taka reported that PYROMANIAC did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with GOLDEN GREY. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding PYROMANIAC, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load and jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 12/05/2026 to 18/05/2026, both dates inclusive). PYROMANIAC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) DISRUPTIVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
