THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIS LORDSHIP stumbled leaving the stalls. b) SAKETINI jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) FIFTY WAYS jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, BUMPS LAST GRIND was bumped by FIFTY WAYS, which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) Shortly after the start, UMZINGELI WENYATHI was bumped by SAKETINI, which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) UMZINGELI WENYATHI shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) TWENTYTWENTYVISION hung in in the concluding stages. f) Shortly before the finish line, HIS LORDSHIP, which hung out, and HEMISPHERE, which hung in, came together and bumped. g) In view of the performance of SAKETINI, (distance 13,35 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. h) Jockey P Mxoli reported that he felt something amiss with FIFTY WAYS in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. i) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning FIFTY WAYS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised. j) UMZINGELI WENYATHI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) UMZINGELI WENYATHI was ridden by Jockey R A Venniker (declared 13 May 2026 at 07H58). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) SAKETINI examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. b) FIFTY WAYS bilateral epistaxis, (2nd episode) recommended 120-day suspension.
