THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h36) b) While proceeding to the start, Jockey K de Melo required medical attention to clear an obstruction in his eye. c) SPECIAL GLAMOUR was hanging out on the turn. d) At the 250m, HEAVENLY PRINCE was directed out and into clear running. e) Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of BACKINTHEFASTLANE he misused his crop by striking BACKINTHEFASTLANE more than 10 times (15) in the race. Jockey A Domeyer signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R9000,00 and suspended from riding in races for a period of seven (7) days.
