THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VIXENS WAR was stubborn to load. b) MS GALORE lost 1 length. c) HURRICANE FLIGHT lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At the 50m, MARY READ was brushed in by MS GALORE, which rolled in. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss in the running with PRINCESS PALACE. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of LA MADDALENA (8.60 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Little was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2., (Appendix E; Guideline C) in that, as the rider of GOLD GOLD BABY, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than two times on consecutive strides in this race.
