DURING THE LOADING PROCESS, FIRE IN HER SOUL BECAME RESTLESS AND UNRULY. THIS FILLY WAS REMOVED FROM THE STALLS, EXAMINED BY THE VETERINARIAN AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. JOCKEY K DE MELO WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE PARAMEDICS AND TRANSPORTED TO THE MEDICAL CENTRE FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT, FOLLOWING WHICH HE WAS STOOD DOWN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE RACEMEETING. CONSEQUENTLY, THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRE IN HER SOUL was unruly in the stalls. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (GT). b) WOMAN'S WORLD was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) The saddle on BOOM BOOM slipped back in running. This was confirmed by an Official. c) Jockey P Mxoli reported that LADY BLUNT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FIRE IN HER SOUL, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 22 May 2026 to 28 May 2026. FIRE IN HER SOUL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised. e) WOMAN'S WORLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Woodruff, acting on behalf of Trainer J Crawford, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) RINGA RINGA ROSES: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55,2kg, 1kg over the carded weight of which 0,5kg was declared. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) LADY BLUNT not striding out right hind. Race 6 contd.
