THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SHE'S MY WORLD and HOT SAUCE were nervous in the stalls.
b) AVERNIAN GODDESS stood as the start was effected, losing four lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) PRISCILLA MAISEY and SPORTS FAN came together and brushed shortly after the start.
b) HOT SAUCE took an awkward stride shortly after the start. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this filly.
c) MY DEAR FRIEND raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight.
d) At the 200m, ONE DANCE had to ease for a number of strides when awkwardly placed between SONG OF MYSELF, which shifted inwards away from the crop and SPORTS FAN, which shifted outwards. In this incident, both ONE DANCE and SPORTS FAN made contact on a number of occasions leaving the 100m.
Due to an agreement by the Members of the Rules Committee of the National Horseracing Authority, it was understood that matters of this nature, where two Riders are the cause of interference in the same incident, it will be viewed as a singular event and as a consequence, the same penalty would apply to both Riders.
Jockey C Habib was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of SONG OF MYSELF, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ONE DANCE leaving the 200m. Jockey C Habib signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.

e) SHE'S MY WORLD was not persevered with from the 300m. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this filly.
f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding AVERNIAN GODDESS, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 23/05/2026 to 29/05/2026, both dates inclusive). AVERNIAN GODDESS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
g) DANISH DYNAMITE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised. (SP)

b) HOT SAUCE - examined post-race. Mouth injury.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
