THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING VISERYS jumped slow, losing one length. b) SLIVER OF SUNSHINE, MELA STRENGTH and RUN THE WORLD were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h55) b) The start of this race was delayed due to a technical issue in the boardroom. c) RHYDIAN was hanging out from the 300m and shifted further outwards away from the crop at the 100m when Jockey C Zackey changed his crop from his left hand to his right hand. RHYDIAN was straightened shortly before the finish. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that SLIVER OF SUNSHINE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. e) GREEN PLANET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised. (SP) THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) SLIVER OF SUNSHINE - examined post-race. Not striding out left hind. b) PYRO EDITION - coughing. c) AWAY WITH RED - mouth injury.
