THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ASHEEF, GOLDSMITH and THE SWAN SONG lost 1 length. b) MERRY AFFAIR became restless as the start was effected, lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer A J Rivalland will be advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) A race review was called into the start of this race, pertaining to MERRY AFFAIR drawn in stall gate 7. In this regard, it was established that MERRY AFFAIR became restless as the start was effected, threw its head down, jumped awkwardly losing 3 lengths and thereafter was slow to stride. In reviewing this incident, the Board was of the view that the distance lost by MERRY AFFAIR at the start was as a result of this filly's own behaviour, therefore no further action was taken and MERRY AFFAIR was deemed to be a runner. c) ASHEEF raced green. d) MERRY AFFAIR raced green around the turn. e) KIKI U BEAUTY hung out from the 250m. f) Jockey A Fortune reported that KIKI U BEAUTY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. g) BISON WARRIOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (MM). JOCKEY CHANGES : a) Jockey M Michel was the rider of PERFECT POWER (Advised 27.05.2026/08h51). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) KIKI U BEAUTY: Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
