THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN COOPER was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly as the start was effected. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). b) LONE HORIZON jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) As the start was effected, CAPTAIN COOPER became restless, kicked out with both hind feet, making contact with the back starting stall gates, which resulted in Jockey M Yeni becoming momentarily unbalanced. c) LIFE IN COLOUR shifted out away from the crop from the 200 and thereafter hung out in the concluding stages. d) PRAYERSANDPROMISES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
