THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO STREISAND BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND PASSED FIT TO RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARIOVISTUS was slow, losing five lengths and thereafter slow into stride. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Jockey S Moodley (LAUGHING WILLIAM) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Murray, the rider of BUDDY BOY, accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. d) FORCE PUBLIQUE hung in in the concluding stages. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ARIOVISTUS, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 8 June 2026 to 14 June 2026. ARIOVISTUS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised. f) TINTIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FORCE PUBLIQUE was ridden by Jockey R Fourie (declared 7 June 2026 at 15H06). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) LAUGHING WILLIAM examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. b) ARIOVISTUS blowing post-race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
