THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PEMBURY was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) GARDENER'S PRIDE over-raced in the early stages and thereafter, hung in from the 300m. c) THAMBI hung out from the 300m. d) Approaching the 300m ANIMAL IMPACT, which rolled out away from CONNOISSEUR, was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of VENCEDOR, which was directed to the inside of GOLDEN MOMENT, to continue its run. e) At the 250m SHINY BOB was switched to the inside of CIRCLE OF GRACE to continue its run. f) Jockey C Habib reported that ANIMAL IMPACT took no interest in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. g) In view of the performances of GOLDEN MOMENT (11.35 lengths and 25/2 in the betting), RAGNAR THE KING (11.05 lengths and 9/2 in the betting) and GARDENER'S PRIDE (26.15 lengths and 75/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. h) SHINY BOB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
